What the heck is SEO copywriting? And why should you care?
Well, SEO stands for Search Engine Marketing. It’s how high you’re ranked in the search engines. So, when you type in a term in the Google / Yahoo / Bing search bars, you get a list of websites sorted usually be relevancy.
As small businesses, it’s very hard to get ranked high (the first three pages) in the search engines. But it’s not impossible. One of the best ways to get Google to like you is to fill your site with relevant content. Not just marketing stuff about YOU and what YOU do. But interesting articles, tips, posts, facts, FAQ’s, interviews, videos, audios, and even pictures…all of interest to your target market.
The idea is they like what you write, figure you must be an expert, refer others to you, and then they keep coming back for more! You become a fount of knowledge, and more and more people start coming to your site.
Sound like a fantasy? Not at all. It’s hard work, though, but SEO is one area that pays off your persistence.
Because more visitors mean more income. It’s that simple. It really is that simple.
But there are strategies to writing well for the search engines – it’s not as easy as throwing up a post of your latest thoughts.
In fact, I’m taking a certification course in SEO copywriting. It’s fantastic, and I highly recommend it. It’s through SEOCopywriting.com, and it’s the only online course that’s industry endorsed and constantly updated.
I’ll be posting my newly discovered tips and techniques here regularly, so expect to see a few more post from me in the near future.
Oh, by the way. I get absolutely no fee for mentioning this course. I just really like it, and look forward to sharing my results with you!
And, as always, I respond to all comments. So feel free to question, brag, vent, share…
