Poor content can sabotage
an exquisitely designed website.
How often have you been in “hurry up and wait” mode by confused clients who are happy with your work but are still trying to figure out if the copy is “just right”?
Let’s face it. Delays from clients because of copywriting issues have been one of the main sources of frustration, lost time and even lost revenue for you. And even if they have already written their copy, chances are it’s not persuasive and effective enough for it to work with your brilliant new design.
Great design and great copy go hand in hand…
It’s a symbiotic relationship…
One can’t work to its fullest potential without the other…
After months of procrastinating on my site, I called FocusCopywriter. Stacey whipped my thoughts into shape, clarified my message, and gave me some really neat and easy strategies to use to promote the site. Yay! I have a website! – Stefanie Dworkin of StefanieDworkin.com (Editor / Photographer)
When you have copy that’s persuasive on a website that’s not designed well, it usually won’t work.
Conversely, when you have a website that’s gorgeous, creative and high-end in look and feel, but the copy is boring and lifeless, that usually won’t work either.
It’s the weakest link in the chain principle.
But when you have everything clicking, a great site with great copy, you can predict that some amazing results will happen.
That’s a powerful reflection on you as a designer, and you will end up with:
- More repeat business
- More referrals
- More buzz
- A more thriving design business
- More profitable positioning
Let me introduce myself.
I’m Stacey Morris. I’ve spent my entire life in the business of persuasion, growing up in and then immersing myself in the family business of direct response marketing, the world of infomercials and Ron Popeil and selling millions of dollars in products people didn’t even know they needed.
When you live your life in that world, you know what generates a sale. I’ve taken that knowledge and adapted it into the world of web copy, and the results have been astounding.
I know what it takes to write copy that produces results.
I know how to bring about emotions from words.
I know how the Internet marketing world works.
Now it’s time for you to experience my persuasion techniques for yourself, so you can refer clients to me with confidence.
And if it’s SEO friendly copy you’re looking for, if clients of yours are interested in generating a website that performs well with the search engines (and what client isn’t looking for that!) then I can craft the perfect text that fits with your overall SEO plan.
I’ll help the client brainstorm keywords and weave them into the copy in a way that will make you an SEO hero, and complement, instead of compromise, your own hard SEO work.
“All I can say is “WOW”! You built such value through “your salesmanship in print” that I felt very comfortable setting the price much higher than I originally considered. In addition, how you changed the sales letter to reflect our conversations clearly demonstrated your grasp of the needs and concerns of parents everywhere.” –Felicia Gopaul, College Funding Resources
Don’t Lift a Finger! I’ll Work with Your Clients Directly
The minute you refer a client to me for copywriting, you can rest easy. There will be no need for a liaison, a project manager or any other kind of intervention.
I’ll do all the heavy lifting and work with the client directly on their niche, their core message, their qualifications, their services and product, everything. And they’ll even get a free initial consultation.
If you’re under the gun on time I can work fast. Just let me know what your deadlines are and, within reason, I’ll hit them every time.
And rates? Let’s just say they are very affordable for your clients. I appreciate and understand the fact that they probably didn’t budget for copy, so I keep the rates low.
Here’s How it Works
Pretty simple really. When you have a web design client who is even the least bit uncertain about whether their copy is good enough, just give them my contact information. If they decide they want high quality content written, I’ll contract through you if you wish, or simply work with them directly, so you can get back to the business of what you do best: web design and development.
And you’ll get 15% of my fee to the client. This isn’t just a referral fee – I work closely with web designers to make sure the copy fits as well as can be into the design. I’ve found the partnership model works best, and helps distinguish you from other designers.
After all, you can always say you have a “copywriter on staff”.
